BIO

Nori Tominaga is an award winning illustrator and Bald Archy Finalist. He began his artistic journey as a young boy scanning every Sunday newspaper for colouring-in competitions. After winning bikes, toys and mountains of chocolate, a career in the visual arts didn't seem like a bad idea.

Born in Japan, he came to Australia not long after birth, and focused on art and design throughout his schooling life. Eventually this led him to study the Bachelor of Multimedia at Monash University in Melbourne.

His career spans industries from advertising to animation to video games and has had the privilege of working with some large clients and studios. These include ABC Kids, Big Ant Studios, Krome Studios and THQ Blue Tongue.

Underlying his strong belief in good technique is his desire to capture the soul and personality of his subject. To make pieces that portray thoughts and emotions as much as evoke fun and enjoyment.
